About Slough Yoga Classes & Studios

Unlike other types of exercise programs, yoga tends to be more calming and beneficial for the mind as well as the body. This is why it's so popular all over the world today! It’s a myth that only a specific ‘type’ of person does yoga. In fact, joining a yoga class in Slough will open your eyes to just how welcoming yoga can be. At first glance, it seems that yoga is marketed towards women but Slough yoga classes can consist of men, children, seniors, athletes, and non-athletes.

Choosing a Yoga Studio in Slough

Do a quick search on the Yoga Studios in Slough and have a look at what types of classes they offer. Also factor in the actual distance of the yoga studio and how easy it is to get there – the nearer and easier it is to get to the studio, the less likely you can make excuses not to go. Remember, by taking yoga classes you’re investing in your health and wellness! If you prefer, there are also yoga instructors that offer private one to one yoga classes in your own home. However, consider that you must be in a space that is free from distractions in order to fully experience a yoga class the right way!

Balanced life?…Yoga is all that and much more! Yoga is an amazing tool to unlock your potential. It doesn’t matter how flexible or fit you are, yoga is for everyone. Yoga can help you reach whatever goals you are aiming for, whether it’s a healthier lifestyle, a more energetic and happier you or a better connection between body and mind. Yoga can improve your sleep, quieten and focus your mind or help you gain your desired physical shape…the possibilities are endless! MY-YOGA is the door to the change you are after. In our fun and informal classes we combine the traditional Hatha static postures with a dynamic element that creates vitality and spontaneity, we use “micro-movements” – as originated by David Sye, Yoga Elder – and “tuning your body” techniques to open the body and accommodate all levels of fitness and ability. What happens in a MY-YOGA class? We start each class by listening to the body with some relaxation and yogic breathing and then we “tune in” using a combination of gentle but energetic warm-ups to prepare for the asanas (yoga postures). We practice asanas that build stamina and at the same time allow us to watch what’s going on with our body. We are exploring and playing with our body in a relaxed and fun environment. Music usually helps us take the journey further, we are engaging all our senses creating vitality and joy both physical and mental. Each class ends with pranayama and final relaxation. Pranayama is an ancient practice to channel and replenish energies using the breath, the final relaxation allows both body and mind to adjust to the positive changes from the practice. At the end you will feel relaxed, energised and happy!
