A Few Things to Keep in Mind When Booking Your Exeter Physics Tutor

Where in Exeter is the Physics Tutor?

Area, area, area, it’s so important to find the right Physics tutor in or around your area (Exeter)! If you end up choosing a Exeter Tutor who is difficult to get to, you’ll be less likely to attend and will end up wasting lots of time. Use the Classes A2Z system to enter your area and run a search for Exeter Physics Tutors. Once you’ve chosen your tutor, make sure you ask for their local area so you can see how easy it will be to get to. However, with many Exeter Physics tutors you’ll be pleased to know that they’re willing to travel to you!

Private Tuition at my place or the Physics tutor’s place?

So, where’s the best place to have your Exeter Physics tuition? You have a few choices because you can have the tutor come to your home in Exeter, try online lessons or travel to the tutor’s place or tuition centre. Convenience is normally at the top of people’s priority list but you also need to consider where you’ll learn best. Some people find it better to have tuition away from home as they can concentrate better. In this case you have the choice of going to the Physics tutor’s place in Exeter or attending one of our listed Exeter tuition centres. If you feel more comfortable at home or find travelling is going to be difficult, weigh up the options between the Physics tutor coming to your home in Exeter or having online tuition.

  • Your home
  • Tutor’s home
  • Tuition Centre
  • Online

Basically, it’s a personal choice but before making that choice always remember that learning is the end goal so you must ask yourself “Where am I going to learn most?”.

Does the Physics tutor have the right experience for me?

No two Exeter Physics tutors are the same and no two students are the same either, so it’s imperative you explain to your tutor in chat what you need to accomplish and share any challenges you are currently having. When you have your first Physics lesson in Exeter it’s always best to look upon it as an exploratory meeting where both you and your Physics tutor can work out how best to help you. If in the unlikely situation the tutor feels they are unable to help, you will find that many tutors will tell you rather than wasting your time. Tutors take pride in being able to see improvements in their students and share in your success as your success is your tutor’s success too!

Private Exeter Physics Tutor, Tutoring Agency or Tuition Centre?

There are three main choices when it comes down to getting extra tutoring and again it comes down to personal choice.

When choosing the best Exeter Physics tutoring for you, we understand that pricing can be a factor. Private tutors can work out less expensive as they have less overheads but there are benefits for using tutoring agencies or Exeter tuition centres. One of the main benefits is that you have more flexibility when it comes to changing your tutor or getting cover if and when your Physics tutor is unavailable because of holiday or sickness. We’ve also found that some people prefer a tuition centre as they find it easier to focus in a dedicated learning facility. It’s also worthwhile contemplating small Physics study groups as this can be very effective and can considerably cut costs for you.

At Classes A2Z you will find a multitude of solutions so have a look through the profiles and send some enquiries. Our advice is to send at least 2 different Exeter members an enquiry so you can get faster answers and a better choice. Please bear in mind that the members may not always have the available time you’re looking for in Exeter so sending an enquiry to more than one member is the best practice!

Having taught Physics for over 30 years I have a good understanding of the sort of problems syudents have with the subject. At A level in particular, I encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning. I am happy to revise work, or to teach work that may have been missed, or to go through past paper questions to help with exam technique as well. I am uncomfortable with simply helping students to do their homework on a regular basis, which can lead to a false sense of achievement.

I am currently offering Physics KS3 and KS4 sessions. I focus more on subject knowledge by giving the students in depth understanding on the subject by using different strategies. This helps the students to understand, remember it for long time. I have a unique approach in helping the students to understand the questions in the past paper and answer them to achieve excellent grades.

I've been a secondary school teacher and a tutor of both Maths and Physics for 25 + years; I am very familiar with the requirements of the main Exam Boards and the recent changes to their specifications in both Maths and Physics. I have taught students across the full ability range, students with moderate learning difficulties as well as those aiming to achieve top grades in GCSE and at A - Level. The following services are offered to each student, whether it's face-to-face or online tuition. preliminary meeting and discussions = free; preparation time = free; setting and marking homework = free; setting and marking exam papers = free providing personal lesson notes at the end of each lesson = free providing online support between lessons = free providing feedback to students and parents = free I devote a lot of time and effort on the student's behalf outside of the lesson time so I suppose I ought to have some remuneration ! I do try to make the tuition fee reasonable. It ranges from £15 for KS2 to £35 per hour's tuition for GCSE ; £45 per hour's tuition at A-Level. That would seem reasonable for tuition on an ad hoc, pay-as-you-go basis. Better value 1- For good progress to be made the parent / student needs to make a commitment to ongoing tuition over a period of time. If a group of 10 or more lessons are booked up and paid for in advance, prices come down by 10%, as it's good for both of us. That, too, would seem reasonable. Better value 2- For TWO students together, either face-to-face or Online - only £25 per student at GCSE, £30 per student at A-Level.
