Hi, I am a passionate musician, and have been playing professionally for around 12 years! I play in all styles of bands and really enjoy improvising. I can teach jazz, blues, reggae, ska, soul, funk, latin, balkan, and how to play along to electronic music. I write and compose songs on acoustic guitar and singing, I have performed professionally with my acoustic show. I also have travelled the world playing saxophone and clarinet in a variety of different bands. I am a natural performer and love being on stage. I have taught from the age of 15, I was a mentor to younger musicians and worked in workshops. I now have been teaching for about 5 years professionally and love having time to share my music. I make each lesson individualised and personal for each student. I want you to get the most out of each lesson :) Please have a look at my online profiles as ELMA SAX and read through my page here :) See you at a lesson soon!

Benjamin Bullett Mortlock is an active professional musician and educator with regular and relevant experience touring and performing around Europe with numerous west end cast, production companies, musicians and pop artists. As an educator while he has tutored at one of the UK's most notorious music conservatoires The Academy of Contemporary Music and provided private tuition for over 5 years. Proficient in reading music for guitar, working in musical theatre, working with signed and independent artists, music industry marketing and artist management, songwriting, transcribing, teaching theory as well as guitar in all styles and bass to a professional working level. While studying a degree at The Academy Of Contemporary Music I was appointed as the student ambassador completing the duty of visiting secondary schools and colleges around the UK to lecture and encourage students to enrol onto the academy's programs. Immediately after completing my degree I was appointed as a lecturer for the diploma and degree programs, working as a mentor for students in music performance, theory and business. I have since continued to tour around the UK and mentor through an online network. I'm also a YouTube content creator with video editing experience, demonstrating guitar products both on behalf of companies and for my own audience. Tutoring Experience: PRIVATE TUITION: Having played guitar for 13 years now I have taught privately for 7 years around other music work and study commitments. DEGREE and DIPLOMA: The Academy Of Contemporary Music From September 2015 - January 2016 Iwas a lecturer/pastoral tutor for The Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford offering support for performance, business and production students. This position was offered to him once the academy's principal had become aware of his efforts to engage with musicians around the world through his own network on his website and Skype service that offered musicians support and resources about studying at the academy. With Ben's previous position as a representative having given presentations and encouraged students to enrol on programs, The Academy felt it was a natural progression for him to then become a personal tutor for the new intake of students in September 2016. SCHOOLS: The DK Music Academy in Godalming I was a guitar, bass and ukulele tutor. Tutoring Approach: Having taught students from ages 6 - 60, I am aware that everyone learns differently. I have a strong understanding that it is far easier to get the results you want when learning, if you particularly enjoy doing so. Therefore I believe I must be positive encouraging at all times. I like to demonstrate skills first to get syudents excited about learning. I have often found this to be a very effective way. I also feel that being 23 years old I can relate to younger students but due to my professional work and nature can relate adults 100%. I am able to provide PDF resources of lesson content as well as written resources.
