I am a French native, fully qualified French & English teacher who graduated from the prestigious University of Aix-en-Provence in 1993 and acquired the highly selective national competitive teaching exam of CAPES in France in 1995 enabling me to teach French & English in state schools across the EU. I came to England in 1998 to follow my British husband and started teaching French to British business people and English to French expats on a private basis and preparing students for their French GCSE and A Levels. Between 2013 and 2017, I taught French at GCSE and A Level in two British comprehensive schools in Wiltshire and became an AQA assessor. I also worked part time as an administrative assistant for the modern languages faculty of a school academy where I helped organise exchanges and work experience for students in France and Spain and as an exam invigilator. For the past 4 years, I have been working on a consultancy basis for governmental organisations such as the Ministry of Defence and Foreign Office teaching and assessing officers prior to their deployment to French speaking countries all over the world. I have also been working as a general language exam moderator for the MOD, Foreign Office, Police and public services in association with the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London. In April 2016, I acquired a Chartership in Education & Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London. I have also been working as a freelance translator and interpreter for the French Embassy in London. I have been running my own linguistic services company since April 2011, offering translations, interpreting and language training in multiple languages working with private individuals, international companies and governmental bodies. I specialise in teaching adult learners at GCSE or A Level studying French for leisure or for professional needs. I mix grammar, speaking activities, listening exercises and use authentic documents, French press articles, videos, songs, radio/TV interviews, vocabulary games to create a fun yet challenging environment for the student based on their natural abilities and personal interests and aims. I normally teach from my home in Melksham, ideally located in the heart of Wiltshire and easy to access with ample parking space. I can also travel for an additional fee of 45 miles per mile within a 10 miles radius from Melksham.

I have been teaching since 2003 and tutoring for over 17 years. I was tutoring a lady who was preparing her A level last June so I have fresh experience of the required elements of the course. And I am currently tutoring a lady who is preparing her A level through Open University.
